Close Encounters

This platter was a joint effort between myself and my partner in glass, Maurge Dulaney.  

We spent many hours together working on fused glass projects, completing our doctoral degrees, and escaping into the theories of our ancient past.  This piece evolved one day in my studio after we cut the base glass-we moved around black lines until music staves appeared.  The remainder of the piece simply "sang to us".
